Coconut Grove Ballet is committed to bringing out the uniqueness of the student through the art of dance. Our goal is to create well rounded dancers with a strong background in ballet. Coconut Grove Ballet is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Primary through Level 7 and Partnering will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher, Doris R. Noriega, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 7 and Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. This is part of the student's dance education and an extension of the benefits that come from studying dance. This performance serves as an opportunity for the students to learn to project and express their uniqueness on stage.
Twice a year, parents are invited to observe their child's progress in class.
WORKSHOPS, MASTER CLASSES & FIELD TRIPS
A variety of workshops and master classes are offered to our students and to the community. We also schedule dance-related trips for our students throughout the year.
