Carla A. Dominguez began dancing at the age of 2 at the Coconut Grove Ballet under the direction of Doris R Noriega. She has trained with such dance masters as Raymond Lukens, Franco DeVita, Gelsey Kirkland, Wilhelm Burmann, Peggy Lyman, Linda Hodes, Finis Jhung, Robert Atwood, Levi Claiborne, Charles Kelley, Bill Coates, and Charles Goddertz.
Carla has attended the Florida Dance Festival on scholarship. She has trained at the Martha Graham School summer intensive for six years including the Pearl Lang Composition Intensive. Carla has trained with the Peruvian gymnastics team and Peruvian Municipal Ballet. She has trained at American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive, Gelsey Kirkland’s Academy, School of Dance Connecticut among others. She is an ABT® Affiliate Teacher who has successfully completed the ABT® Training Intensive in Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum and has consistently demonstrated quality of instruction through presentation of students for examinations. She has been teaching since 2000. She has taught at Ransom Everglades Lower & Upper School and Plymouth pre-school as well as other prestigious schools in South Florida.
